Fire doors play an important role in saving lives and building regulations specify where they need to be fitted in residential and commercial property settings.
ASICO DOOR have all types of Wooden Fire Resistant Doors, designed and certified for stability, integrity and insulation as per BS: 476 Part 22. The range includes 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes fire-rated doors.
· A fire door is a type of door, or closure used as a passive fire protection item within buildings to prevent the spread of fire. It is usually the only means of allowing people to pass through and or to escape.
· Designed to meet the life-safety requirements in various types of buildings and structures that are compartmentalized to contain the spread of fire, these doors complement existing passive fire-fighting systems.
· The necessity of these doors is governed by national building codes as well as directives of local fire-fighting and municipal authorities.
· The Right Fire Door for the Right Location and the Right fire Resistance

The overall performance goal of a fire rated door is to slow fire propagation from one fire compartment to another for only a limited amount of time, during which automatic or manual firefighting may be employed to limit fire spread, and not to “fire-proof” the compartment itself.
Asico fire door is fitted with approved intumescent strips which play a crucial part in achieving the fire door rating. When subjected to heat, the intumescent strips expand and seal the gap between the door edge and the frame. Intumescent seals can be fitted within the door frame or grooved into the door edge.
